We have received news from Royal Mail that they have made changes to their services, part of which is that they are no longer guarantee next day delivery.
Please see details below (updated 22nd April 2020)
Changes to Special Delivery Guaranteed
Due to increased absence levels, we’ve reviewed our timed guarantees for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 9am and 1pm services and will make the following changes.
For items posted from Tuesday 31 March 2020 onwards, our guarantee delivery for Special Delivery Guaranteed by 1.00pm will change to by 9.00pm the next working day
All Signature services
We’ve put in place a temporary procedure for those services where we would normally capture a recipient’s signature on delivery in the UK. For items delivered on or after Saturday 14th March 2020, our postmen and women will not request a signature but will capture the recipient’s name and will ensure they take in the item.
The number of countries Royal Mail can access, due to air capacity availability, local emergency border controls and in country operational restrictions implemented by mail operators, is changing daily. For affected countries where we have suspended service .
